Limited Warranty for Residential Doors

General Information

Millennium Garage Doors Inc. warrants to the original purchaser that Millennium will repair or replace certain sections for a period specified on the reverse of this form from the date of purchase. These warranties extend to normal usage, when the door has been maintained in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.

These warranties are for single-family residential installations of complete Millennium Garage Doors (sections and hardware). They do not apply to commercial, industrial, or non-residential uses. For residential condominium or similar multi-family housing, the rust through warranty will extend from the date of purchase by the original purchaser for the time period specified on below of this page.

These warranties extend to normal usage when the door has been maintained in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions. The warranties do not apply to any damage or deterioration caused by abuse or misuse, failure to provide reasonable and necessary maintenance as defined by manufacturer’s maintenance, improper installation or handling, acts of God, fire, hail, flood, failure of paint applied after manufacture and distribution, alterations and/or additions to door or atmospheric conditions, including, but not limited to: (1) areas subject to excessive salt atmosphere, (2) areas subject to fallout or exposure to corrosive chemicals, fumes, ash, cement dust, animal waste, or foreign substances, and (3) areas subject to water runoff from lead, copper, or galvanic metal flashing.

  STEEL DOORS ONLY

We recommend that you wash your Millennium door (just as you was your car) to help protect the finish at least one (1) time per year, once a month in salt air climates, with mild solution of five (5) gallons of warm water and one (1) cup of common household detergent, such as Tide™.

This door is pre-painted with factory-applied finish, but the door will accept a wide variety of commercially available latex exterior house paints, when applied in accordance with the paint manufacturer’s recommendations. However, no warranty of paint compatibility is made or implied. DO NOT USE OIL BASE PAINT.

If within the applicable warranty period, the sections or hardware warranted are found to be defective upon inspection by authorized Millennium personnel, Millennium agrees to repair, repaint, or replace, at Millennium’s option, the defective door sections or hardware. Proof of purchase is required. Any charges for freight, removal, or installation shall be the responsibility of the original purchaser. REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF SPECIFIED PARTS IS THE SOLE REMEDY OFFERED BY THIS WARRANTY. IN NO EVENT, SHALL MILLENNIUM BE LIABLE FOR CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES.

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitations of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights. Which vary from state to state or province to province. To make a claim under this warranty, contact us immediately in writing at the address listed below. Upon receiving the claim, Millennium may, at it’s the discretion, instruct the purchaser to return the specified door section or part(s) thereof to the nearest Millennium facility, shipping prepaid.

ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE HEREBY EXPRESSLY EXCLUDED AND DISCLAIMED. (Note: Some states restrict such limitations; so this limitation may not apply to you).

MILLENNIUM LIMITED WARRANTY

Limited Lifetime Warranty
Model: 2240, 2241, 2242, 3240, 6250, 6251, 6252, 7250

If your Millennium model 2240, 2241, 2242, 3240, 6250, 6251, 6252, 7250 door sections rust through because of the paint finish cracking, checking, or peeling, we will repair or replace those sections for as long as the original owner owns the door. Chips or scratches in the paint, which result in cosmetic or surface corrosion, are not covered in this warranty. For residential condominium or similar multi-family housing, the rust through warranty will extend for a period of ten (10) years from the date of purchase by the original owner.

For the Millennium model 2240, 2241, 2242, 3240, 6250, 6251, 6252, 7250 if any section, part or hardware, excluding glass, frames, and inserts, is defective in material or workmanship, we will repair or replace it for one (1) year from the date of purchase. The one-year hardware warranty for the models above applies to standard lift and low headroom applications only (not to hi-lift or vertical lift) and only when utilizing 12” or 15” radius track.

10-Year Limited Warranty
Model: 2250, 2251 & 2252

If your Millennium model 2250, 2251, 2252 door sections rust through because of the paint finish cracking, checking, or peeling, we will repair or replace those sections for a period of fifteen (10) years from the date of the purchase to the original purchaser. Chips or scratches in the paint, which result in cosmetic or surface corrosion, are not covered in this warranty. For condominium or similar multi-family housing, the rust through warranty will extend through a period of five (5) years from the date of purchase by the original owner.

If any section, part or hardware, excluding glass, frames, and inserts, is defective in material or workmanship, we will repair or replace it for (1) one year from the date of purchase. The one-year hardware warranty applies to standard lift and low headroom applications only (not to hi-lift or vertical lift) and only when utilizing 12”or 15” radius track.

1-Year Limited Warranty
Wood Custom Carriage House Doors and Wood Doors

For a period of one year from the date of purchase, Millennium will repair or replace any sections that deteriorate due to warping, splitting, rotting, or cracking, as verified by Millennium personnel upon inspection. The one (1) year door warranty will be valid only if the door is painted or stained in accordance with the following instructions: the outside and inside plus all edges must be stained or primed within two (2) weeks of receiving the door. However, no warranty of paint or stain compatibility is made or implied.

Wood Doors Hardware Warranty: If any section, part or hardware, excluding glass, frames and inserts, is defective in material or workmanship, Millennium (Ironwood) will repair or replace it for one (1) year from the date of purchase of your garage door (excludes decorative hardware). The one-year warranty applies to standard lift and low headroom applications only ( not to high-lift or vertical-lift) and only when utilizing 12’ or 15” radius track.
